Yes. We can adjust bitrate, recording modes, and upload schedules to match your available bandwidth. We recommend the use of cameras with on-board memory to provide temporary local storage in the event of network disruption. We will also soon offer a hybrid cloud option that supports onsite DVRs, giving you even more flexibility and assurance.
The large language models (LLM) that power our Gen AI alerts and searches are very capable at interpreting images, with a level of detail well beyond traditional video analytics. Like any form or artificial (or human!) intelligence, they are not infallible. They can miss events or return false positives. That’s why human oversight and review is essential for effective security. The performance of LLMs is continually improving, and with the SecureStat Cumulus solution you can take advantage of these advances without having to change anything in your setup.
No, GenAI alert and search packages are optional features of the SecureStat Cumulus solution. If you change your mind, you can add GenAI to your solution at any time.
GenAI works by examining a specific frame from a video camera, triggered based on motion (“Tell me if a package is delivered at the back entrance”) or at a set time interval (“Check if there are any packages at the back entrance.”). You can’t create a prompt asking about changes that happen over time, like “Tell me when the third package has been delivered to the back door.” That would require recording and storing the first two deliveries in order to generate an alert on the third delivery. But as this example shows, there is usually a way to get to a very similar result. In this case, you might set up a time-based alert like, “Check if there are three packages at the back entrance.”

We’ll work with you to configure SecureStat Cumulus AI cloud video in the SecureStat HQ platform.
