Securitas Technology Ireland celebrates Technician Appreciation Month with first TCP graduation

Every April, Securitas Technology proudly celebrates Technician, Technical Support and Engineering Appreciation Month. This is a time to recognise the teams who work every day across Ireland to design, install, maintain and support the security systems our clients depend on. Our technicians, engineers and technical support professionals are the cornerstone of our business. Their expertise, professionalism and commitment to excellence are critical to delivering safe, reliable and innovative security solutions. Recognising their contribution is not limited to one month, but Appreciation Month gives us an opportunity to pause, say thank you and celebrate their impact together as one team.

As part of our People Promise and our commitment to technical excellence, Securitas Technology introduced the Technician Certification Programme in Ireland for 2025 and 2026. Ireland was the first country in Europe to pilot this programme, reinforcing our focus on continuous learning and future ready capability. The programme provides a structured pathway for technicians to build and validate their skills across key security disciplines, while aligning with industry standards and evolving technology requirements. By investing in ongoing training and certification, we ensure our technical teams remain at the forefront of the security industry and continue to deliver the highest standards of service to our clients.

On 27 April, several of our engineers celebrated a significant personal and professional achievement as they graduated from the Technician Certification Programme and earned the Certified Technician title. This milestone reflects the time, dedication and hard work they invested alongside their day to day responsibilities, and it marks an important step in their career development. Looking ahead, both Technician Appreciation Month and the Technician Certification Programme will continue to evolve. We remain committed to developing our people, expanding the programme in the year ahead and continuing to invest in the technical excellence that defines Securitas Technology Ireland.
